Experience

Pietro Greco graduated (magna cum laude) at the University of Milan in 1999, completing his final dissertation in Commercial Law on “The Role of Shadow Directors in Groups: Italian and French experiences”.

Before founding Greco Vitali Associati in 2012, he served as an associate (from 1999 to 2007) and then as a  salary partner (from 2008 to 2011) a leading Italian law firm. He also worked as a visiting lawyer at Berwin Leighton Paisner in London.

He has been a member of the Milan Bar Association since 2002 was admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione) in 2014.

He has acquired a lot of experience as a litigator, both before Courts and national and international Arbitration Chambers, focusing on disputes of a commercial, corporate, banking and bankruptcy nature.

He also advises both companies and private clients on commercial and civil law matters, assisting them on a wide range of commercial and corporate issues on a daily basis.

He has a vast experience in working on complex commercial and corporate transactions, as well as M&A operations.

He has been the common representative (“rappresentante comune”) for the saving shareholders (“azionisti di risparmio”) of an Italian listed company for 9 years.

He is currently a member of The Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and an exclusive Commercial Litigation Member in Italy for the international network IR Global.
